The Steading Workshop is the trading name of the small woodworking business run by partners David & Rob Matthews. It has grown from the furniture and joinery business started by David in 1984 as a sole trader and has customers all over the UK.

The workshop now specialises in all kinds of woodturning, and for this we use the brand name Caledonian Woodturners.

We have also produced

• Bespoke furniture
• Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Shaker designs
• Specialised items of joinery
• Custom guitars

although at the moment this side of the business is on hold, pending decisions on our future direction.

We can work in a wide range of timbers.

We have excellent transport links, allowing a next day delivery service nationwide.
